A Message from our Commander Welcome to the San Carlos Bay Sail & Power Squadron, a member of The United States Power Squadrons. This is the premier Boat Club of America. Whether you are in California, Florida, Missouri, Arizona, or Illinois you will find an associated Squadron. Our prime interest is in promoting safe boating as well as fun on the water. We offer beginning courses to non-members to help promote safe boating. We offer advanced courses to members so that they may improve their boating knowledge and skills. We are also a public service community. We work with NOAA to help provide up to date charts. We work with the Coast Guard to help provide Boat Safety Checkups. We're also a fraternal organization and arrange various on the water activities such as short cruises. On shore we schedule lunches and more formal dinners during the year. Members benefit from many perks such as reduced boat insurance rates. If you want to improve your boating knowledge and skills, if you want to help promote safe boating, if you want to associate with other like minded sailors and power boaters, give us a call. We're worth checking out. This year, most of the Bridge are newer members and we have many new ideas like overnight and multi-day cruises. So, join us, meet new people, learn about boating, and have a great time. John Ragone, Commander.
